He works with policymakers on trade\, taxes\, environmental and workplace regulations\, job training and identifying grants and funding to support projects. \nJames Simonelli\, Executive Director\, California Metals Coalition \nFor 25 years James Simonelli has represented the state’s metalworking sector\, which consists of 3\,000 businesses employing over 350\,000 Californians.\nFrom 1997 to 2012 he served as the organization’s chief lobbyist\, authoring several pieces of legislation into law. At the state Capitol\, he is co-Chair of Sacramento’s WATER Coalition\, and operates two metals industry storm water compliance groups for the metals industry.
